Birthday celebrations are always fun!

We celebrated Carter's 2nd birthday along with Jon and Aaron's.

Kathleen: This is like one of those school assignments that you get on the first day of a new school year where you have to write about yourself so your new teacher can get to know you a bit better. (Darn those pesky teachers!) The best part of my life is my family and friends, especially the part that involves being a grandma. Besides visiting family and taking long drives to new places, I love the mountains, the beach, basking in the warm sun while reading a great book, taking pictures of beautiful scenery and flowers, and my newest discovery this year that I need to do again is snorkeling! I like trying new things. Today was the day to undertake the sport of pickleball! Yes, you read that right, pickleball. The farthest west I've traveled is to the Pacific Ocean on the western shores of California, Oregon and Washington state. The furthest north I've ever been was to Alaska while taking my mom on a week long cruise up the inside passage followed by a week long road trip. The furthest east was encountered just this summer as I explored Washington, D.C. And finally, the furthest south I've been was to Cozumel last March with four of my fun teacher friends.
